The first change to greet visitors is the newly renovated lobby space, which seeks to blur the line between indoor and outdoor space. Just past the entrance, guests can grab refreshments at Corso Coffee, a food station with a unique spin on the essentials. Choices range from Tuscan espresso and locally roasted Long Island City American-style coffee to freshly baked pastries and delicate sandwiches.
But perhaps you prefer cocktails to coffee. Simply head to the Regent Cocktail Club, named the best hotel bar in the world by Tales of the Cocktail. The theme is hand-crafted, artisanal beverages that are served in the lounge or on the outdoor deck. At night, the bar plays a globally inspired musical lineup and features DJ sets come the weekend.

For main meals, there’s Tillie’s—a fresh take on the classic concept of the American kitchen. In true beach bistro style, the restaurant is casual yet chic with white oak accents and menu items like lobster rolls, avocado tartine and Andalusian-style gazpacho.
With the surf and sand being an (obvious) main draw, Gurney’s introduces The Beach Club, which spans the 1,000-foot private beach. It’s dotted with canary yellow and white-striped beach chairs and daybeds that provide hours of comfortable relaxation.

On its tail is Scarpetta Beach, an extension of Manhattan’s popular Italian restaurant of the same name, led by Chef Scott Conant. Mid-century modern design, with views of the Atlantic, combine with soulful pasta dishes and a thoughtful wine list for an unforgettable dining experience.
