Anyone who’s been watching this season of The Real Housewives of New York City will know the newest—and seemingly most normal—cast member, Kristen Taekman. For one, the Connecticut-raised model, 37, always looks perfectly styled—she favors brands like Alexander Wang, Stella McCartney and Zara mixed with accessories by Jennifer Miller, Rag & Bone, Manolo Blahnik and J. Crew. The Tribeca resident, who is married to entrepreneur Josh Taekman, has gained a strong social media following by chronicling her personal style choices on the “Last Night’s Look” column on her blog.
The RHONY star also adds some much-needed levity to the show via her altercations with fellow cast members Ramona Singer (who famously hurled a wine glass at Taekman) and Aviva Drescher (whom she accused of faking asthma to avoid a trip to a Montana dude ranch).
To get a better idea of what it’s like to walk in Taekman’s (chic) shoes, DuJour asked the television personality to share her guide to spending the summer in New York City.
