As far as standards go, the bar set by luxury jeweler de Grisogono is up there. Known for creating some of the most coveted collections of one-of-a-kind jewelry on the market, de Grisogono’s attention to detail is evident in the construction of each piece. From the finest jewelers and goldsmiths, the designs are meticulously crafted to become not just a styling piece, but also an intimate treasure.
Not surprisingly, de Grisogono places just as much attention into extravagant event planning. The brand kicked off the Miami Beach social season last week by feting the opening of their second U.S. location in the Bal Harbour Shops with a private dinner party for 250 guests, hosted by founder and creative director Fawaz Gruosi’s close friends Ugo and Sara Colombo. Gorgeous pieces from de Grisogono’s 20th Anniversary High Jewellery Collection were displayed in rotating vitrines throughout the courtyard for an exclusive look at the new line, and guests subsequently enjoyed a catered dinner from Casa Tua Restaurant, served poolside at the Colombo’s home. The Goldsingers, flown in directly from France, entertained guests throughout the evening.
The event attracted a slew of Miami Beach A-listers and even provided a bit of mystery at the end, as each guest was handed a de Grisogono key when the dinner drew to a close. One key will unlock a vitrine in the new Bal Harbour boutique, and the enviable winner will receive a hand-selected de Grisogono creation from the newly-opened store.
