Bentley Collaborates with Pantone

The luxury car company releases two unique convertibles

Bentley has just unveiled two very unique Continental GT V8 Convertibles. In collaboration with Pantone, the global color authority, the luxury auto company released two cars in the Pantone Color of the Year 2016. For the first time, Pantone chose two colors of the year: Rose Quartz and Serenity. The hues have appeared in fashion, home decor, beauty, and now bespoke cars. Bentley created two Pantone models—one in each color—in celebration of the reopening of the Bentley flagship dealership in Frankfurt, Germany.

Pantone chose Rose Quartz and Serenity as the 2016 Color of the Year to illustrate the consumer’s search for stress relief and pursuit of mindfulness and wellness. The colors also blend well, illustrating the gender blur we’re experiencing in fashion and other aspects of design. Pantone says that the mix serves as “a color snapshot” for the year of 2016, expressing an attitude for the year.

The Bentley Continental GT V8 Convertible boasts first-time design decisions as well, including a completely redesigned front spoiler and rear diffuser. The four-layer retractable hardtop roof allows the car to accommodate four riders comfortably, with the roof closed or open. So buy it for what’s souped-up under the hood or just the gorgeous new hues—either way, it’s a worthy splurge.
