The Most Beautiful Thing in the World Today: A Canopy Bed

Irish furniture designer Joseph Walsh’s latest masterpiece is the bed of your dreams

A bed has never given the term “bedroom” truer meaning quite like this new standout design by Irish furniture maker Joseph Walsh. For his latest work in his Enignum series of “free-form” furniture made from ash, an easily pliable wood, Walsh created a canopy bed that’s anything but industry standard and will no doubt be the focal point of any room. Five total have been made, and the bed is only available for purchase at Collective 2, the second edition of Collective Design Fair, which runs from May 8-11 (a commissioned Enignum Canopy Bed takes about 18 months to complete).
