PHD Terrace in Midtown Manhattan created a spectacular 20 Pound Spiked Hot Cocoa last year and the response was sweet to say the least. The year-round rooftop bar decided to create an updated version in honor of National Hot Chocolate Day this year. Beginning on January 31, the 15 Pound ‘Cup of Flaming Red Velvet’ Hot Chocolate will be available to satisfy all of New York City.
Created by renowned Corporate Pastry Chef Paola Marocchi, this $125 dessert features giant toasted marshmallows bedazzled with winter-inspired decals. As if 15 pounds of spiked hot chocolate isn’t enough, the dish is served with a tower of mini homemade cupcakes and a spoonful of decadent frosting. Until February 29, you can head to PHD Terrace with nine of your friends (yes, this dessert serves ten) and indulge in a flaming hot chocolate. Prepare your cameras, this one is Instagram gold.
