It might only be spring, but it’s already time for A Midsummer Night’s Dream—at least the George Balanchine version that’ll be appearing from May 24 through May 29 as part of the New York City Ballet’s 21-week spring season at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.
The Balanchine classic, which features music composed by Felix Mendelssohn, first premiered in 1962 and was the first full-evening ballet the master ever staged in the United States. Here, DuJour has an exclusive first look at this year’s production.
