Your Pebble Beach Food & Wine 2014 Preview

Northern California’s most celebrated food fest arrives to much fanfare next month. Here’s what to expect

Pebble Beach Food & Wine is a four-day destination event that attracts 100 top celebrity chefs and 250 distinguished winemakers for a weekend dedicated to the finest food and drink across the U.S. Sponsored by Food & Wine magazine and Lexus automobiles, the seven-year-old festival draws in an upwards of 8,000 attendees annually, and this year’s line-up is sure to draw many more.

Grand Finale dinner with Chef Christopher Kostow

Kicking off April 10, the festival’s 49 events—including a Celebrity Chef and Winemaker Golf Tournament, cooking demos, wine-paired luncheons and intimate dinners, elite wine seminars and two Lexus Grand Tastings—will feature such culinary luminaries Susur Lee, Paul Liebrandt and Nancy Silverton. Other participants include nationally and internationally acclaimed chefs like Michael Voltaggio, Richard Reddington, Masaharu Morimoto, Jose Garces and Hubert Keller, as well as some of the world’s top wine personalities including Antonio Galloni, Michael Silacci and Frédéric Engerer. Anyone serious about food and wine—and a memorable round of golf at the area’s many primo courses—should order tickets now.

Chef Daniel Boulud

Also worth saving the date for is the Fourth Annual Los Angeles Food & Wine festival taking place August 21-24. The event spans the length of the city and offers guests the chance to sample the cuisines and products from some of the world’s most prominent epicurean influencers, while enjoying the sights and sounds of the entertainment industry’s brightest film and musical talents. Daniel Boulud, Scott Conant and Grant Achatz are just a few of the big names who participated last year. Trend forecasts, power lunches at exclusive hotels, decadent wine pairings, Grand Tastings and more round out the festival this year, which will take place in and around  LA’s finest restaurants, hotels and bars.
