The design world was on fire in Miami Beach last week. The city hosted the Pritzker Architecture Prize for the first time, which went to Frei Otto during a black tie ceremony at New World Symphony, as well as the inaugural Maison & Objet Americas show with 300 brands and Designer of the Year Zanini de Zanine.

The Miami Design District also got into the spirit with events galore from brands like The Rug Company and Harry Winston. As part of its ongoing DesignLives lecture series, Luminaire hosted an evening with Bocci creative director Omer Arbel to celebrate the U.S. premiere for his lighting collection of organically-shaped glass pendants.
