Situated in the heart of London’s posh Mayfair district is 45 Park Lane, the art deco-inspired hotel designed by Manhattan-based architect Thierry Despont. Since opening in 2011, the youngest Dorchester property contains 45 guest rooms, sweeping views of Hyde Park and an extensive collection of contemporary paintings. Sir Peter Blake, Patrick Hughes, and Bruce McLean are just a few of the names that adorn the walls, offering guests insight into today’s British art scene. With the Ascot Races and Wimbledon just a month away, we check in with hotel manager Christophe Hilty to find out which of the hotel’s 45 rooms is the most in-demand.
