Room Request! The Cosmopolitan

We asked about the most sought-after room in the high-wattage Sin City hotel—here’s what we found out

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is one of Sin City’s hottest hotels—which isn’t surprising, given that the $3.9 billion project boasts 2,995 well-appointed rooms, 13 upscale restaurants (from world-class chefs like José Andrés) and an awe-inspiring crystal chandelier that clocks in at 10,000 square feet. Celebrities ranging from Jay-Z and Beyoncé to Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have both performed and stayed at the property. But is there one room at the mega-hotel that stands out from all the rest? We asked Marcus Lidey, The Cosmopolitan’s Director of VIP Services, to give us the scoop on the property’s most sought-after room.

Most requested room in the hotel:
“The north-facing Wraparound Terrace with a view is the most requested suite.”

What makes it special:
“It offers panoramic views that you can’t get anywhere else in Las Vegas. The suite is 1,200 square feet and has a separate living room, dining room area, floor-to-ceiling windows, a full-size modern kitchen and washer and dryer. The suite comes with a 480-square-foot private terrace overlooking the Las Vegas skyline.”

Your personal favorite:
“The Bungalow suites are my personal favorite.”

Because…
“There are only 10 of them available. Each suite is poolside and overlooks Marquee Dayclub on one side with a Strip view from the other. All Bungalow suites feature custom-designed furniture, faceted antique mirror panels and leather-wrapped handrails in the stairways, walnut overstuffed furnishings, classical-yet-funky light fixtures and a third-floor terrace equipped with a sleek, outdoor kitchenette and bar along with a Jacuzzi plunge pool.”

Celebrity guests:
“We can’t provide information on which celebs have stayed in specific suites, but we have had a variety of A-listers stay at the resort since its opening, including many who have performed here: Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow, John Mayer, J-Lo, Florence Welch, Blake Lively, Adele and many more.”

The rate:
“The average rate for a north-facing Wraparound Terrace Suite with a view is $650, and the Bungalow is $5,000.”

Fun fact:
“One million cubic feet of dirt was dug up to construct our parking garage, which sits below the resort—one of the deepest holes dug in Nevada history. Also, our spa has one of only three traditional Turkish Hammams in the United States.”
