Victoria Beckham Goes Digital

The mother, designer, footballer’s wife and former pop star brings luxury to the masses with her new e-commerce site

With her well-respected, minimal-meets-chic label on the upswing, Victoria Beckham’s stylish empire seems as if it’s only just beginning. Now that the Spice Girl has several seasons of successful collections now under her size zero belt, she is taking on a whole new digital market with today’s debut of her label’s ecommerce site.

The homepage is clean and sleek, offering the user only two options (to “look” or to “buy”) over a moody, behind-the-scenes video. The experience is meant to be a simple one, where buying a high-end dress or pair of jeans is easy and enjoyable. As Beckham noted in the brand’s press release, “It was so important that the concept, tone and look of it were true to me and my aesthetic and that the shopping experience was the very best it could be for my customer.” She also adds about the “look” feature, “The site will be ever evolving, featuring never before seen insights into my world through the medium of film.”

On the site right now are VB’s handpicked items from the spring 2013 collection, which includes an array of her now-famous shift dress in various colors, plus a range of denim and the Victoria Victoria Beckham line. And if the clothes themselves weren’t enough, each package comes in bespoke packaging, with same day delivery available in London and New York. We’re sold. Victoriabeckham.com
