In a fully converted service station in the Hamptons, acclaimed landscape designer Frederico Azevedo has set up A Perfect Setting—a contemporary showroom for Unlimited Earth Care, a landscape design company that incorporates the natural terrain into an overall vision for the garden.
Inside A Perfect Setting
The Brazilian native, who has received international praise for his careful attention to detail and thoughtful eclecticism in his garden installations, opened the headquarters in Bridgehampton to fully showcase his unique landscape design work. Once an abandoned service station, the building was redesigned with the aesthetic of a 19th-century barn in mind.
Long vacant and falling into disrepair, the space has undoubtedly been given a second (very chic) life, furnished with pieces from Philippe Starck, Norman Foster and Charles Eames. There are also custom-made pieces from Italian designer Orietta d’Armi, as well as glass chandeliers blown in Venice.
Upon entering the building, attention is quickly drawn to the sweeping scale of the concept store and showroom, which features a double-height ceiling inspired by Scandinavian design. Azevedo’s vision was ultimately to combine the bucolic with the ultra-modern in a way that would perfectly showcase the true heart of Unlimited Earth Care.
