Renowned reporter and novelist Gioia Diliberto has written the first-ever biography of fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg. Although Diliberto reports that DVF had first balked at the idea of having her life story put to paper, the finished product is as powerfully seductive as the designer’s iconic wrap dress.
A confident, bold, but also sensitive businesswoman is described in detail from those that know her best. The biography, which also relives the height of the wrap dress’ popularity in the mid-1970s (during which DVF was selling around 25,000 dresses a week), will be released on July 7.
