A Fresh Look at DVF’s Life

Renowned reporter and novelist Gioia Diliberto has written the first-ever biography of fashion[1] icon Diane von Furstenberg. Although Diliberto reports that DVF[2] had first balked at the idea of having her life story put to paper, the finished product is as powerfully seductive as the designer’s iconic wrap dress.

A confident, bold, but also sensitive businesswoman[3] is described in detail from those that know her best. The biography, which also relives the height of the wrap dress’ popularity in the mid-1970s (during which DVF was selling around 25,000 dresses a week), will be released on July 7.
