A Film-Featured Bag Returns to the Spotlight

This handbag brings midcentury elegance to the upper-tier of iconic beauty, much like the Hitchcock blonde who first wore it

Coming in a variety of sumptuous leathers and hardware options, a new it-bag comes from one of America’s oldest luxury leatherwoods brand. Mark Cross’s Italian-made Grace boxes are inspired by the brand’s intertwining history with Hollywood’s golden-era starlets. The bag is named after actress-turned-Princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly, who toted her own carryall from the storied leather craftsmen in Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. Evoking old-world nostalgia without seeming archaic; the rectangular style is fresh, yet americana. The rigid structure has been updated with a thin sidestrap to usher the handbag into the 21st Century without losing its timeless beauty.
