Demarchelier: Desire

A new exhibition in Paris features the photographer’s black-and-white images of Kate Moss, Christy Turlington and Gisele

While Patrick Demarchelier‘s photographs are almost undoubtedly in a luxury magazine currently on your coffee table (Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Elle and DuJour‘s own winter issue featuring Nicole Kidman, to name a few), it is rare that his iconic images are on display in a free-standing exhibition. Now, A. Galerie in Paris’ 16th arrondissement will exhibit 20 of the French photographer’s nude, black-and-white images—which originated in diverse forms, including Chanel’s advertising campaign for Allure, the iconic Pirelli calendar, and Vogue Paris.

Desire is on display at A. GALERIE from May 13 through July 22, 2013 (12 rue Léonce Reynaud, 75116, Paris, 06 20 85 85 85). Take a look in the DuJour gallery for a preview.
