A name that needs no introduction in the fashion world, supermodel Gigi Hadid has proven the span of her industry footprint. In complement to Hadid’s Fall 2016 ad campaign for Stuart Weitzman, the model collaborated with the luxury brand to design this fall’s hottest shoe, the “Gigi Boot.” The hiker-inspired boot, co-designed by Hadid, features a stacked heel and duo-toned laces, interwoven into bold metallic eyelets, meant to wrap around the detailed ankle collar. The boot comes in two metallic shades of iron specchio and copper glass or a more subtle croco-calf leather.
Not only is the venture fashion forward, but it’s also for a good cause. Proceeds of the boot will go towards an ongoing partnership between Stuart Weitzman and Pencils of Promise, who will combine forces to build one school in each country of Ghana, Guatemala and Laos in Fall 2016.
And what’s a powerhouse collaboration without a touch of Hollywood? Take a look at “#DoItRight,” the shoe’s official debut short film starring Gigi Hadid and directed by the one and only James Franco. The video was shot inside Brooklyn’s legendary Gleason’s Gym and shows Hadid in her element– shelling out iron fists in a boxing ring, all while sporting her newest creation, the Gigi Boot.
The bootie is available exclusively at Stuart Weitzman retail locations and StuartWeitzman.com. The retail price begins at $565 for the metallic styles and $598 for the croco-calf version.
