Restoration Hardware opens an epic-scale megastore in West Hollywood

The expansive three-story outpost of Restoration Hardware’s latest store—a 40,000-square-foot space dubbed RH West Hollywood, The Gallery—was so homey that Molly Sims and her barely-showing baby bump simply had to curl up on one of the shop’s luxe sofas immediately upon entering the space.

Sims was one of hundreds of guests—including celebrities, design mavens and those all-important, vaguely defined “influencers”—who squeezed into every nook and cranny of the impressive European villa-inspired environs to welcome RH and its tastefully curated luxury home furnishings to the neighborhood. Fashionable faces belonging to the likes of January Jones, Jaime King, Vanessa Lachey, Camilla Belle and the Hilton sisters were welcomed into the palatial expanse by RH CEO Gary Friedman. The guests scaled the spectacular grand double staircase, took in performances by musical duo Edei and Larkin Poe (who are the first artists signed to RH’s own boutique musical label), admired lavish décor details and sipped Bellinis under centuries-old olive trees amid glowing fire pits packed with thick candles. The new locale inspired many appreciative ooohs and ahhs, and it appeared instantly that Restoration Hardware, to the surprise of no one, had made itself perfectly at home.
