Inside an Exclusive Celebrity-Backed Bar in NYC

Pebble Bar in Manhattan is a star-studded three-story bar and restaurant backed by Pete Davidson, Mark Ronson and Nicholas Braun

Rockefeller Center has ushered in its next chapter, continuing its timeless legacy of culture, community, commerce and greenspaces in the heart of New York City with a transformation on a scale not seen since its 1930s creation. Notable projects in the coming year include new restaurants from the city’s most celebrated culinary talent, including the queens of Soho favorite King; Junghyun and Ellia Park of two-Michelin-starred Atomix; Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson of the iconic Frenchette; and Greg Baxtrom of Olmsted.

The latest opening is Pebble Bar, the new three-story bar and restaurant housed in a legendary four-story townhouse co-owned and operated by Noah Bernamoff, Julian Brizzi, Matt Kliegman, Carlos Quirarte and Matthew Charles (with backing from starry names such as Mark Ronson, Nicholas Braun, Justin Theroux, Jason Sudeikis and Pete Davidson). Formerly Hurley’s, which closed in 2000, each floor of the new space, designed by Gachot Studios, is unique, from the oak-paneled lobby to the second and third floor bars and dining room to fourth-floor event space, Johnny’s, which offers seafood towers, bar snacks and timeless cocktails.
