For his fifth store in NYC, Stuart Weitzman has planted a flag in Soho, at 118 Spring Street, for its first-ever downtown retail location. The 1,500-square-foot jewel box, designed by Italian architect Fabio Novembre, features such design elements as distressed wood floors, exposed brick walls and a mosaic tile wall in a muted palette.
The boutique offers the largest selection in the city of the brand’s newest spring styles, including its best-selling over-the-knee “5050” boot. “The attitude of SoHo is infectious,” Weitzman says. “The allure goes beyond the shiny storefronts and historic cobblestone streets to the people strolling through the neighborhood.”
What’s the New York customer—like Weitzman fan Beyonce—looking for? “New York women want boots, boots and more boots!” Weitzman declares.
