Celebrating Style and Substance

John Varvatos and friends toasted New York Fashion Week and the brand’s new website design

Vanessa Hudgens, Mick Rock and Vincent Piazza turned out for the launch of John Varvatos’ redesigned website (www.johnvarvatos.com) on February 5 at Soho hot spot Houston Hall, where the Roots’ Questlove spun a special set and editors, musicians and models enjoyed tasty hors d’oeuvres like tuna tacos, egg rolls and sliders.

The site features a new monthly section entitled “Style & Substance,” which profiles six real men in a variety of fields. The first batch of guys includes Mashable.com founder Pete Cashmore, The Meatball Shop co-owner Michael Chernow, comedian Anthony Jeselnik, Boardwalk Empire actor Vincent Piazza, Cleveland Indians first baseman and outfielder Nick Swisher and Los Angeles-based chef Michael Voltaggio. Each man, wearing John Varvatos of course, shares visual snapshots from their life paired with personal quotes about their style.

A new program called “All Access” offers benefits and perks to loyal customers. By signing up for “All Access,” members are entitled to first look at new collections and limited edition products, invitations to private sales and free shipping on orders.

John Varvatos has also incorporated a “Personal Shopper” function on the new site. Users can avail themselves of the service to arrange one-on-one phone, face-time and e-mail consultations with dedicated personal shoppers, as well as to secure in-store appointments. After the consultation, the Personal Shopper will be able to e-mail tailored looks to clients, providing them with product selections.
