To honor Queen Elizabeth’s milestone birthday, the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans has introduced a dessert truly fit for royalty.
A creation of Pastry Chef Shun Li, the 24k gold-encrusted dark chocolate fondant cake will be topped with a raspberry and passion fruit Cristal sauce, golden covered chocolate and strawberries and a gold and chocolate crunch. For a dramatic finish, atop the dessert will be the 3.95-karat ruby and diamond ring from the iconic M.S. Rau Antiques. The oval ruby is surrounded by 1.95 carats of diamonds and is set in 18k white gold.
