East Coast Outdoor Activities to Try This Summer

From concerts and festivals to wine tasting and antique shopping

Borgata Festival Park
Atlantic City’s go-to destination for year-round entertainment has just upped the ante (no pun intended) on summer fun. At the Borgata‘s brand new Festival Park, music enthusiasts can take in amazing concerts in the impressive 4,500-capacity outdoor venue. Headliners include The Killers, Meghan Trainor, Willie Nelson, Counting Crows and much more. The season will officially kick off June 13th when The Hooters break in the stage with special guests G. Love & Special Sauce and Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes.

The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
This annual event draws the who’s who of New York society to Liberty State Park for a day of mingling, sipping champagne and, of course, polo. In addition to the general and early admission tickets, attendees are now able to purchase special Rosé Garden tickets. The elite admission allows guests access to Veuve Clicquot Rosé Garden, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé Champagne for each person, a $100 gift card to be redeemed during an appointment at the Fifth Avenue Club at Saks Fifth Avenue, fast-pass line privileges for a return ferry to Manhattan and more.

The Connecticut Wine Trail
Plan a wine tasting trip along the rows upon rows of Connecticut vineyard dotting the scenic landscape. Serious wine lovers should enroll in the CT Wine Trail Passport Program. Have your “passport” stamped from at least 33 wineries on its list (found here) and you’re entered to win the year’s grand prize, which is a trip for two to Malaga, Spain, including a 14-night stay at the Benalmadena Palace and round-trip airfare.

Shopping for Antiques in Cold Spring
Some of the best antique shopping in the U.S. is nestled into the impossibly cozy town of Cold Spring, New York. Wander from shop to shop to pick up elegant home essentials, and don’t forget to make time to take in the breathtaking Dockside Park, or, if you’re feeling adventurous, the 22 local hiking trails.
