On Friday, Emma Didlake, the oldest living World War II veteran, was welcomed at the White House for a special meeting with President Obama. The 110-year old veteran—who joined the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps in 1943—traveled to the nation’s capital from her home in West Bloomfield, MI in a private jet courtesy of Delta Private Jets and Talons Out Honor Flight.
Didlake’s short but fun-filled trip in Washington, DC also included tours of the World War II Memorial, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial and the Women in Military Service for America Memorial.
