“I’ve been to Australia twice this year. It’s a long flight, but I’ve stayed at a place called One & Only on Hayman Island. My wife and I spent time on a jet ski, toasting to the sunset with champagne and exploring the barrier reef.”
“I travel a lot to large cities. I was recently in London, and I stayed at the boutique hotel St. James. It has a lot of character and a five-star restaurant, but I find it easier to get room service and eat undisturbed. The St. James’ room service is not from their five-star restaurant, so one Sunday night (I was leaving the next morning), I decided I’d go to the restaurant—and they were closed Sunday night!”
“I stayed in Vienna, which is beautiful and picturesque. I loved walking around it. We were especially interested in the Spanish Riding School there with horses in the middle of the city, and we availed ourselves in that. And for great old-time continental service, we stayed at the Sacher Hotel.
“Some of my favorite places have to do with sand, sea and sunlight. For the last several years, I have been going to Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay. It’s very beautiful and they took good care of my family and me.”
“Another place I really like to go to is Miami. In the past, we’ve rented a house and gone to the fish shacks that line the bay and eaten the fresh fish without any prestigious stars attached to them.”
