5:00AM: Early morning in the Hudson Valley woods, getting ready to head to Shelter Island for a few days. The view from the deck.
6:00AM: Sunrise at the train station. Garrison Train Station Hudson River Views.
10:00AM: Quick detour at the Highline in NYC. Revisiting our last scene shot for Chef's Table.
12:30PM: Getting on a tiny ferry out east to head to Shelter Island. After driving to Greenport we picked up the ferry to Shelter Island.
1:00PM: On the ferry in the rental car, driving with my girls. Enjoying the boat ride and trying to make my daughter smile.
3:00PM: Arrived at Shelter Island. Not a beach day but still beautiful. View from our weekend home, just off the ferry landing in Shelter Island behind the famed Marie Eiffel.
5:00PM: Getting in some light reading. Black Cat Books for some antique book collecting. They don't have a copy of Room For Dessert yet!
5:30PM: Keep this in mind: my number one rule is, whatever the chef says must be right. Or in my house, whatever my family says! I am not the chef at home.
8:00PM: A little lighthouse down the beach from Sunset Beach Motel. Going for a lovely walk with my daughter and enjoying the view.
9:00PM: Getting warmed up apres-beach at the back bar at Sunset Beach Motel.
10:30PM: Checking out the evenings activities at the hardware store. Looks like it is going to be a Twister night.
