Sofia Ek Launches ‘The Minefield Girl’ on Spotify
John Legend, Emmy Rossum and Hailee Steinfeld were among the night’s attendees in honor of Ek’s latest project

In an effort to intersect technology and literature, Sofia Ek has published an audio-visual memoir in collaboration with Blackdove, detailing her time as a journalist in Libya during Muammar Gaddafi’s regime. Each of Ek’s stories has been transformed into a video clip designed by one of 18 commissioned artists, all of which have been narrated by actress Camilla Belle.

Last night at Lightbox in midtown Manhattan, Ek (wife to Spotify co-founder and CEO Daniel Ek) hosted the artists, Belle, and a handful of famous friends—including Chris Rock, Emmy Rossum and Hailee Steinfeld—to celebrate the release of the project.
