8:30AM: Wake up, shower and meditate. I have oatmeal and coffee everyday and listen to “Up First” (US news) and France Culture’s “Journal de 12h30” (French news).
1:00PM: Picking up a piece of artwork at another studio for an upcoming installation.
2:30PM: I have a meeting with a Germany-based journalist.
3:00PM: Phone call with a San Francisco-based gallery. The Wing just announced they will be opening at least seven new spaces in the next year. As their curator, it’s very important for me to make sure I include established artists alongside emerging talents.
4:00PM: Have received many taps on my shoulder to ask me about pricing on this great Marilyn Minter photograph.
5:00PM: I arrive at 90 Morton to capture a shot of Danielle Gottesman, the artist behind the Elevations exhibition. Danielle crafted five eye-level sculptures from inspiration behind the architectural floor plans from the residential building.
6:00PM: Back at The Wing to drop off my computer and get ready for a dinner event.
1:00AM: Finally in bed. Once again I wonder how I managed to get home so late and swear that tomorrow I’ll be in bed by 10pm…in vain.
