An art collector's home in Trousdale, Beverly Hills that William Hefner designed.
The client wanted incredible views from his home, which Hefner achieved by dissolving boundaries between the interior and exterior.
Interestingly enough, the client had seen one of Hefner's previous—"a very warm, concrete, black windowed contemporary house," recalls Hefner. "But it was about as opposite as you could be from what we ended up designing for them."
"The house evolved into a very light and airy and very open feeling, which is as far on the contemporary spectrum as you can get [from the other project]," says Hefner. This one took two to three years to complete.
"A pool necessitates pool furniture between where you’re sitting inside and your view of the pool," says Hefner, who works towards de-cluttering the space for a better view.
