In stunning Santa Monica, California surrounded by gorgeous coastline and ocean views sits the historic Villa Ruchello. The mansion was built in 1932 and after an extensive renovation by the current owner, Shane Smith, executive chairman of Vice Media, still boasts a beloved Old Hollywood glamour. “We had a vision of a Chateau Marmont–style escape with the dual ability to throw lavish parties and feel homey and secluded at the same time. A sort of mini-resort with the best poolside living in L.A. and a vista from every window,” Smith says.
Villa Ruchello has a long-standing relationship with Hollywood. It has been featured in Beverly Hills Cop and Entourage and was once the home of several members of rock band Fleetwood Mac. With 12 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a secret speakeasy, a cedar soaking tub in the backyard oasis, a pool house, two separate guest houses, and much more, this Mediterranean-style mansion is made for a rockstar.
Villa Ruchello is listed by Santiago Arana of The Agency, Beverly Hills. Click through the gallery for an inside look.
