The Poli House, an “experimental luxury” resort with just 40 vibrant rooms, is officially open to the public. Industrial designer Karim Rashid is responsible for the historical building’s ultra mod interiors. Here, explore the playful spaces for yourself.
Says Rashid of his design, “We usually only look to the past for inspiration, but the mentality of Tel Aviv is very contemporary, focusing less on the past and looking forward to the future. The Poli House embodies just that. I tried to embrace that Tel Aviv spirit, energy and love of life into the function of the hotel, turning an emotion into a tangible form through colors and graphics.”
The panoramic rooftop features an expansive infinity pool.
The Bauhaus-style building received an extensive restoration over a period of three years before its reopening.
“The hotel is a marriage of Bauhaus & Digital Age, form & function, crafts & fine arts, digital & organic,” comments Rashid.
