The ingredients in this formula are so fragile that they must avoid oxygen and light in order to remain stable. Basically this non-prescription retinol features retinal, which has a higher exfoliation rate than retinol and works a lot faster. It is very potent though so we recommend using it once a week to start and depending on how your skin reacts, add a touch of moisturizer to the retinol to help soothe your skin.
