12:00PM: I am in LA for my work with the Hopper Art Trust. I was born and raised in Los Angeles so I always need to get a sunshine fix. With that work done, I go for a quick swim in the Beverly Hills Hotel pool which is the most cinematic pool…ever.
2:00PM: I stop by the Marciano Art Foundation—it’s a must every time I’m back in LA!
4:00PM: I meet my friends Ariana Lambert Smeraldo, who owns the fabulous Lily Lodge flower shop, and Nina Takesh who has a superb shop specializing in baby furniture, fashion and interior design. We love finding fantastic vintage pieces both for our various businesses and homes. Ariana and Nina both have the best eye for style and design, and I so love spending time with them as we hunt for things we are looking for. The proof is in the pudding! Their businesses are super inspirational to me—and the bonus of being together as such great close friends is the best.
11:55PM: I get on the red eye on JetBlue Mint back to New York. LOVE seeing our amenity kits on the flight! I try to sleep on the plane because I know I have a packed day.
10:00AM: Back home and I quickly go to Hayward House and get an espresso there too. My Shih Tzu Shadow tells me he missed me.
12:30PM: I meet my mother, Brooke Hayward, and brother, Jeffrey, for lunch at Michael’s. My mother is a co-host with her best childhood friend Jane Fonda for the Hopper and Hayward launch event at Bergdorf Goodman. My brother Jeffrey is curating works from his gallery of the famous North Western artist Mary Henry. We have her work at Hayward House and it also it will be a big part of the Bergdorf Goodman installation.
2:30PM: After lunch I have the great pleasure to be able to welcome a favorite visitor and share secrets...!!!!
5:00PM: One of my very closest friends, Natalie Martin, is in town and she takes me through her latest collection. Always love it when she is able to visit with her beautiful hand printed Balinese dresses. Can’t get enough of them!
