Taylor Schilling plays the convicted drug mule Piper Chapman on the critically acclaimed Netflix series Orange is the New Black. But on the red carpet for the launch of the new, ceramic-cased Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon, the actress shone in a little black dress and a glittering gold and diamond Omega De Ville Ladymatic.
Originally launched in 1955, the Ladymatic collection married basic Omega automatic movements with fashion-forward designs. Now, the line has been relaunched to address the fact that women can be watch nerds too and want wristwatches that are pretty on the outside but also interesting and complicated on the inside.

To that end, the De Ville Ladymatic Co-Axial Chronometer features a self-winding movement with a co-axial escapement and a free sprung-balance system with an innovative silicon balance spring to allow for greater precision, stability and durability. And you can admire the mechanics through a transparent case back.
Unlike the tiny cocktail watches of yesteryear, the 34 mm case of Schilling’s Ladymatic makes a statement without overwhelming her wrist. While it comes in a variety of materials (18k red or yellow gold, stainless steel or a mix of both metals) and bezels (diamond-studded or polished steel), Schilling chose gold and diamonds with a chocolate brown dial to glam up her demure dress. Heck, it would even make Piper’s shapeless prison gear look fabulous.
