Aptly named “Rihanna,” Dior has asked the super-celeb to design a line of sunglasses featuring one frame in six colors: silver, pink, blue, green and red. All retail for $840, except a 24-karat gold-plated pair, which sells for $1,950. The sleek frame sports pure lines and futuristic accents and was inspired both by a 2000 Dior eyewear style and La Forge, a character from the original 1966 Star Trek series.
To celebrate the collection’s opening day, Dior has released a series of equally futuristic gifs shot by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, where a 360-degree view of the shades are playfully shown on none other than Rihanna herself.
Glasses are available for browse at Dior.com and can be purchased at select Dior boutiques.
