The world of style is a rapidly spinning cycle[1] of designer collaborations, label shakeups and seasonal trend reports. For the fashion inclined who don’t have time to sift through the style-blog beast, we’ve rounded up the latest need-to-know newsmakers. Here are the high points in style for the week of July 15th:

The fragrance: To the joy of chic Carven fans everywhere, the label will finally launch its highly anticipated fragrance on the 18th exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue. Refinery 29[2].

The celebrity collab: They may seem like strange bedfellows, but Elijah Wood has teamed up with Rodarte to star in the Mulleavy sisters’ summer 2013 fantasy-inspired short. Hollywood Reporter[3].

The music collab: The founder of A.P.C. talks collaborating with Kanye and what it’s like to enter “the kingdom of dopiness.” Style.com[4].

The series: Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant is about to star in her own reality TV show much akin to Project Runway but with a whole lot more Hollywood glamour. Vogue U.K[5].

The shoot: Natalie Joos captures her stylish friends frolicking through Diane Von Furstenberg’s Connecticut estate and getting a first time glance at the designer’s incredibly vast archive. Tales of Endearment[6].
