Spring’s new man is one cut from a juxtaposed cloth – one part dandy and one part super jock. The spring 2013 looks that came down the runways in Europe and New York had a wearable vibe to them, one that veered towards the complex and mixed fabrics in unlikely pairings, such as nylon with python and neoprene with suede. So throw the rule book out the window: sneakers with a suit are no longer passé, and donning a light anorak instead of an overcoat is just right for the season’s unpredictable showers. Camo prints, as seen at Dries Van Noten[1], and monochrome looks, as seen at Calvin Klein[2], are styles that dominate the male sportswear market right now.
