Maje on Madison

Atmosphere: Feels like a traditional Parisian apartment[2]: 1,010-square-feet of gilded detailing, chevron wood floors and a mirrored chandelier.

We’re coveting: The label’s utilitarian-chic dresses and jackets this season. Expect all your favorites from the spring 2013 collection[3], plus jewelry, shoes, handbags and accessories.

Pièce de résistance: Maje’s opening is just the latest in a very welcome string of French retail in New York[4].
