We all remember when Maison Margiela debuted the Tabi boot on the red carpet, forcing the fashion industry’s head to crane with its divisive toebox. Although the boot made its first public debut in 1988, its recent comeback has made it a source of contention, garnering either adoration from fans or vitriolic critiques. Now, in partnership with Reebok[1], the French fashion house has come out with a new model to strut down the runway for Paris Couture Week: the Tabi sneaker.

Coupling together the Instapump inflation technology of the Reebok[2] Fury sneaker with the split-toe of the Tabi boot, the statement shoe is available in both a high-top or heeled version. It’s also being sold in several colorways: all-black; all-white; yellow; black and red; and red, white and blue. With both brand’s collective logos featured, the sneaker is sure to be a talked-about style for weeks to come.
