Label to Watch: J.Hilburn

Here’s everything you need to know about the custom menswear brand that we love

Who: J.Hilburn (from founders Hil Davis and Veeral Rathod)

What: Men’s made-to-measure shirts and suiting (tuxes, too!) using high-quality European fabrics from premiere mills like Guabello and Barberis. Customers work one-on-one with a trained style consultant to design and fit custom dress shirts (in bold, timeless colors, checks and plaid) and personalize every aspect of suiting and sport coats—from pocket to placket, collar to cuff. Jon Patrick, the brand’s vice president of product, told DuJour that J.Hilburn always remembers that “menswear is evolutionary, rather then revolutionary.”

What Spring Will Bring: The young brand’s new take on linen this season is Italian Drillino, the signature cloth of Italy’s prestigious mill Tessuti di Sondrio. The supremely soft, lightweight linen-cotton blend is a warm-weather menswear essential.

Where You’ve Seen It: Championed by Esquire as the “best dress shirt,” J.Hilburn is favored by chef Tyler Florence and Ronan Gardiner of Men’s Health. You might have also seen most recent Bachelor Sean Lowe sporting the shirts on his dates this season (no judgment here from this author).

Where To Buy It: Head to jhilburn.com to shop ready-to-wear and to schedule a private fitting with a style consultant.
