After wrapping his provacative spring 2013 show on Friday in New York, Jason Wu got down with La Perla high atop the Standard Hotel. To celebrate the designer’s one-off collaboration with La Perla on sultry underpinnings worn with his latest collection, Wu and La Perla CEO, North America Suzy Biszantz made the Boom Boom Room go boudoir. There was just the right amount of sexiness and fun, both at the after party and during the show, which included sheer tops, delicate black lace gloves, leather harnesses and beautiful bustier bras a La Perla.

Biszantz chatted with us amid white orchids and cucumber cocktails, “Jason has that same elegant and ultra feminine DNA, the partnership just really made sense from the start.” She continued, “his inspiration for spring 2013 had a heavy lingerie influence, as well as references to Helmut Newton’s seductive photography.” And while that ultra sex-appeal may have been missing from Wu’s previous collections, it’s clear that his mood has shifted, and the La Perla pieces were a true testament to the shift. Biszantz also elaborated on how the collaboration came about saying, “Kate Young styles for both of our brands and it was her idea to bring us together.” She added, “everything happened very organcally, it really was love at first sight.”

As for Wu, he seemed to share that same adoring sentiment, celebrating his latest line and cool collaboration with hugs and kisses for the likes of Karlie Kloss, Linda Fargo and Virginie Courtin-Clarins. It was a chic and playful affair to match a stellar spring collection, summed up perfectly by Wu whose defining words to us were, “I’m feeling naughty tonight.”
