Shopping online is amazing. For some, let’s all be honest, it’s really the only reason to own a laptop. But for large or luxury purchases, it can be hard to “check out” without seeing the product in the flesh, so to speak. Gilt.com, the members-only shopping destination that sells luxury designer items at up to 70 percent off, has now combined the convenience of their highly curated selections with the tactile experience of shopping in a store.
Gilt by appointment lets members browse a chic boutique in the brand’s midtown Manhattan office with a personal shopper. The stylish array of clothing, outerwear, shoes, bags, jewelry, sunglasses, belts and more is at your disposal. Shoppers can even give advance notice of what they are looking for—be it a dress for an upcoming event or a new pair of fall boots—and choice pieces will be waiting in the dressing room upon arrival. Items range from contemporary blouses to vintage Chanel bags in pristine condition.
Choose between a private appointment, a shared appointment with another member, or a group appointment (a member and up to five of her guests). In both private and shared appointments members are allowed to bring one or two guests along—moms, best friends and reluctant significant others all apply.
Appointments will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays each week, and will last up to 60 minutes. Visit Gilt.com/GiltByAppointment to book yours now.
