Dolce & Gabbana[1] has unveiled its first-ever Abaya collection. The line features traditional Middle Eastern[2] garments, including ankle-length dresses and hijabs made from georgette, charmeuse and lace fabrics in a variety of neutral tones. Some of the gorgeous pieces boast colorful prints—think: daisies, lemons, polka dots and roses—reminiscent of the brand’s spring/summer 2016 collection.
The Abaya collection is not the brand’s first capsule collection to celebrate a specific cultural market, however. In the past, Dolce & Gabbana has created collections specifically for Brazil, Japan and Mexico.
The Abaya line will be sold this month in all Dolce & Gabbana boutiques in the Middle East, Paris, London, Milan and Munich.
