Tommy Hilfiger Gets Techy at NYFW

Guests at Tommy Hilfiger’s February 15 NYFW show at Park Avenue Armory will experience some majorly high-tech upgrades. Gone are the days of fiddling around in your bag for a hard copy of your invite when checking in. Now, attendees sporting an Apple Watch[1] to the show can enter with just a swipe of their wrist—and they’ll even get avoid crowds with their own check-in ‘fast lane.’

Hilfiger partnered with the app GPS Radar, which also controls how NYFW guests receive and RSVP to their invites, to be the first to offer the perk.

This isn’t the only step Hilfiger is taking this year to create some tech buzz for his fashion shows. In January, the brand revealed that its Spring 2016 show will feature an “InstaPit” so Instagram bloggers have an exclusive, front-row space to snap their best shots.

“Digital innovation is changing the industry faster and faster every season and we’re always excited to be on the forefront of those changes,” Tommy Hilfiger said in a release.
