A Letter from the CEO: Summer 2016

See what I’ve been up to this season

The kind of revelry usually reserved for summertime has been in full swing at DuJour all spring—long before we officially began vacation season with one of our legendary Memorial Day kickoffs at Moby’s East Hampton.

The nonstop excitement started in March, when we hosted the launch of the Behati x Juicy Couture collection with Behati Prinsloo herself, Authentic Brands Group CEO Jamie Salter and other amazing guests at one of our favorite spots—Jason Strauss and Noah Tepperberg’s PH-D Rooftop Lounge at Dream Downtown. The following month, when Steven Tyler rolled into New York for the “Steven Tyler…Out on a Limb” charity show and auction at Lincoln Center benefitting his nonprofit Janie’s Fund, we welcomed the rock star with an exclusive event at Lavo. Thanks to Brian Miller and the team at Manhattan Motorcars, automobile enthusiasts were treated to a first look at Tyler’s 2012 Hennessey Venom GT before the million-dollar car went up for auction to benefit the charity’s mission to help abused girls. The month of May flew by as we worked with Havas Luxe President Thomas Serrano to sponsor a VIP cocktail party celebrating the start of the TimeCrafters luxury watch show, followed by our first ever “Watch and Learn” panel, where DuJour watch editor Rhonda Riche spoke with horology heavyweights about the stories that lie behind every timepiece. Next we arrived in Las Vegas—comfortably and in style, thanks to JetSmarter—to host the Billboard Music Awards Kick-Off Party at Intrigue Nightclub at Wynn. 

In between the festivities, we were hard at work and as always making memories with family. Stay tuned all summer long for more from DuJour, as we hit the Hamptons, soak up some sun and get ready for whatever the fall may hold.
