Room Request! The Nantucket Hotel & Resort

Inside a luxurious island getaway

Just a few blocks walk from The Nantucket Hotel & Resort—where guests can enjoy well appointed rooms, gourmet dining and expert spa treatments—sits the oldest house on Nantucket, an 1686 charmer built as a wedding present for one of the island’s most prominent couples. And while Nantucket’s only year-round hotel certainly offers more in the way of modern comfort than that historic house—especially considering a recently constructed set of poolside suites—it seems just at home on the celebrated Massachusetts island, which plays host to bold-face names and generations of locals alike. Here, General Manager Jamie Holmes gives us the scoop on which of the charming hotel’s rooms is most in demand.
