Room Request! LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort

Inside the most sought-after suite at this boutique beachfront destination

Located on 5.75 acres of Naples, Florida’s Gulf Coast, LaPlaya mixes the personal service of a boutique hotel with the copious offering associated with large-scale resorts. Many of the eight suites and 189 rooms on the property offer unobstructed views of the water through floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious balconies, and each is appointed with bright and luxurious décor.

Guests can spend their days by the beach soaking in the sun while being constantly attended to by the hotel’s Beach Butlers. For adventurous types, there’s the Gulf to explore by parasail, kayak, waverunners and more. When you’re tuckered out, lounge in one of the many poolside cabanas—complete with “sorbet service,” which is exactly as amazing as it sounds. And for full meals, the resort’s restaurant BALEEN offers gourmet fare with a tropical twist.

Below, LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort’s Managing Director Marco Perry reveals what’s in store.

Fun facts:
Because we own the beach at LaPlaya, we are able to hold private events—from a romantic dinner for two to a large wedding ceremony and reception. Also, on a nightly basis, a random guest is chosen at our award-winning restaurant, BALEEN, to ring the Captain’s Bell one hour before sunset and at 15 minute intervals until the sun disappears into the horizon for the final welcome to the evening ahead.
