Floral-infused cocktails are always on-trend for the spring season, and here’s a bright and refreshing lavender variety to add to your rotation. It’s a creative (and fragrant) spin on a classic.
“We were inspired by the energy of spring to create this twist on the French 75 cocktail,” says JR Grigonis, mixologist of Panache Beverage Inc. “With our addition of lavender and our switch to Wódka Vodka instead of gin, we are enhancing the flavor and giving consumers an opportunity to embrace the whimsicality of the season.”
Ready to give it a try? Here’s what you’ll need.
LAVENDER WÓDKA 75
3 oz. Lavender syrup*
4 oz. Wódka Vodka
3 oz. Champagne
Squeeze of lemon to taste
Mix all of the above ingredients together and stir.
*To make lavender syrup, bring ½ cup of sugar, ½ cup of water and about 10 fresh lavender flowers to a boil. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes or until the sugar dissolves. Stir as needed. Transfer to a glass jar and let it chill in the fridge. Strain out the lavender flowers after 45 minutes.
