Drink DuJour: Golden Rod

Recreate the signature cocktail that will be making the rounds at the New York Design Center’s annual What’s New, What’s Next expo

If you’re into design, What’s New, What’s Next is one of the most important days of the year. The September 18 event showcases what the trendy, revolutionary and generally important topics are for the year ahead within the realm of interiors—and DuJour will be on-hand to celebrate!

In addition to presentations on what’s in style this season, there will be a Q&A and Panel Discussion with brand ambassadors and DuJour editors. Plus, you can enter a raffle to win a one-on-one luncheon with designer Christopher Guy Harrison.

To kick things off, we’re revealing the recipe for the bright, festive cocktail that will be served on the big day.

“Though Elderflower has long been familiar in Europe, it’s relatively new to America. The herbal top notes of St-Germaine are a refreshing addition to the classic pairing of pear and sparkling wine, making it an ideal cocktail moving into the fall entertaining season,” explains Steve Lofts, Sonnier & Castle’s Beverage Director.

Here’s what you’ll need!

Golden Rod

1.5 oz Grey Goose La Poire Vodka
0.5 oz St-Germaine Elderflower Liquor
0.5 oz Fresh lemon juice
3.5 oz Prosecco or sparkling wine

Garnish with a twist of lemon or a pear slice.
